Project-44 would like to introduce a new concept in caring for needs of others both spiritually and physically. Our idea is simple; we grow wholesome organic produce and provide it to families in need by being in direct relationship with those we are aiding. We call this GSA.
God Supported Agriculture. There are two methods by which we make this happen. The first is through supporting local faith-based programs, working with them to meet the needs of those they serve. The second method is through direct sponsorship of families by individuals.
In 2010, we began our new mission, Project-44 Farm. We are a 2.5 acre farm which grows organic produce to provide for people in our local community who have need. Project-44 Farm exists to fulfill the physical and spiritual needs of people in Hood, Tarrant, and surrounding counties. We grow organic vegetables for distribution to families in need and work with Churches and individuals to help those who need it most.
We are striving to find a way to be the hands and feet of Christ in immediate and real ways. We have started several community gardens around th
e Tarrant Countyarea, are finishing a 4500 square foot greenhouse, and completing our first year of harvests at our farm. We have produced thousands of pounds of produce weekly over the last several months. The largest portion of food went directlyto hungry and needy families in our community.
We are in need of volunteers to aid in our service to others. We need volunteers to help harvest and care for our crops. We are flexible and available to meet your needs either as a group or on an individual basis. We also encourage our volunteers to share in the harvest, especially if they know someone who is in need and would like to bring them food and share the Love that Christ has given us!
Our farm is located at:419 Cherokee Lake Ct. in Granbury, TX
